Eggscellent Focal Point

Something as simple as the everyday egg can serve as a nicefocal-point arrangement that lasts for weeks. Use fresh eggs {pretty blue, green and speckled eggs are available now at farm stands and specialty markets) to make this easy and eye-catching centerpiece. Employ a tiered stand {ours is a vintage ice cream cone holder, but a tiered server or stacked cake stands would also work well) and simply pile the eggs one on top of another, alternating colors and sizes. You also can purchase bisque eggs, paint them in your desired color palette, and reuse them year after year.

Engaging Easter Basket

Moss and twigs combined with a vintage planter make a lovely Easter basket. Fill the container with soil and real moss, and spritz daily with water to keep it fresh.

Cut twigs or vines from your yard to shape a faux handle for the basket, and dot the handle with miniature silk flowers. Provide interest atop the moss with a small rabbit figurine, and then place your creation on a wide windowsill or a side table for a springtime treat.
