I love my home because… It fits me well. The fitted kitchen which is open plan has always been one of the things I had wanted when house hunting and this kitchen is perfect.

I love art. Which is bold. You don’t need too many things to create a beautiful space. Few bold pieces always stand out in a room.

I love shopping for… Art and items for my kitchen. I can’t get enough of both and I always tell people to ‘let the art work speak to you’.

Swahili mix

Tell us a bit about the origin of Swahili design?

Swahili design, to me, is synonymous with a group of design elements used in the traditional homes on the coast regions of Tanzania, Kenya and Zanzibar. These design elements have been influenced by Middle Eastern, Indian, Persian and Portuguese cultures.
