Decoration Ideas For Rooms
When this coat is thoroughly dry and hard, which means in not less than twenty-four hours, we may proceed to execute the final embellishment which is in broken colour.
For this we shall require some very thin paint made up according to the same formula as the ground coat just described, but lighter than the lightest of the colours there described. As we require this paint to be semi-transparent, it must be further thinned with linseed oil.
First doing the ceiling and then each wall, the whole of the surfaces must be gradually coated with this lighter-coloured thin paint and stippled by one person, while a second worker rolls a tightly folded wash-leather, frequently soaked and wrung out in water, over the surface just after each section is coated by the first worker.
