Overflowing vases of larkspur, scabious, garden roses, ears of wheat, trails of ivy and wild cow parsley were all de rigueur. But now a visit to either of Jane’s two London-based shops or her floral design school in New Cavendish Street paints a very different picture. Bowls of closely cropped clashing pink and orange gerberas and tulips are the order of the day, combined with bold shapes and a disregard for the conventional rules of colour coding. The overall effect, in Jane’s words, âœis much more sophisticated, simpler and stronger – quite Parisian in factâ.
