Nuts That Bite Back.
175 g/6 oz/1/2 cup whole blanched almonds.
25 g/1 oz/1/2 tbsp butter or margarine.
5 ml/1 tsp chilli powder.
5 ml/1 tsp mixed (apple pie) spice.
2. 5 ml/1 tsp salt.
Fry (saute) the almonds in the butter or margarine until golden brown, tossing all the time. Sprinkle on the spices and salt and mix well. Drain on kitchen paper and leave to cool.
