At the time that this delightful French Second Empire hotel was built, there were six major theaters less than two blocks from it, including Weber & Field’s Music Hall, one of the original vaudeville showcases, across the street. After the theater district moved uptown, the hotel became a factory. It was restored as apartments in 1980.
