Recently featured on the popular Sydney Weekender television programme, Artisans Retreat offers the expected B&B features of peaceful sleep and a delicious home-cooked breakfast, though the experience doesn’t end there, with the retreat offering a large range of craft workshops for both adults and children. To name a few, visitors to the property can experience woodturning, silk painting, candle making, kite making and kiln-formed glass. Perhaps you would enjoy the thrill of creating your own pure silver jewellery working from nothing more than Precious Metal Clay (PMC), which turns into pure silver when fired!
Open most days, the Artisans Cafe serves up homemade Italian influenced cuisine with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients.
The cafe also offers a pre-ordered dinner service at night for B&B guests, who are welcome to bring wine to enjoy with their meal. Peter, the owner of Artisans Retreat, is also the cook. He has an Italian background, learning to cook at a young age from his mother. Peter is happy to share his culinary secrets with guests who would like to get involved.
