Kitchen For Home Design
Use cabinet paint on your cabinet doors, afer degreasing them and rubbing them down. There are paints which are specifically made for cabinets and they are worth the investment because they are made to take the bumps that kitchen cabinets will be subjected to by normal wear and tear. You can clean up the handles or even buy new ones at a fraction of the cost of new cabinets and if any of your hinges have dropped, buy new ones and affix them at the same time as you decorate and they will look as good as new.
Tiling in the kitchen often gets marks in the grout lines which look unsightly. You can actually buy tile paint which covers the whole area and can be wiped, so this may be an option. Otherwise, what about cleaning the joints with either a steam cleaning nozzle or by using specific products to get them back to looking great again. If all else fails, you can always use an artist’s paintbrush and paint the joints with an oil based matt finish so that they look spotless.
