If your walls are painted, hang a large modern canvas or a wonderful primitive, or design an attractive wall arrangement. Place a mirror or trumeau over a storage cabinet.
Dramatic dining room (below), owes its sleek sophistication to its mixture of design elements and the contrast of dark woods of furniture and floor with broad splashes of cool white. Choice of glass and steel dining table is played up by the accompaniment of antique English chairs. Entire kitchen and bookcase wall can be closed off by wood-grained folding doors, but when open they reveal plastic-faced cabinets screen printed to match fabric on upholstered pieces. Red Formica topped table serves for dining.
