This is a contemporary-style lodge ideal for a private game farm or a commercial nature reserve. Any number of bedroom suites can be added, although the main lodge has been designed to accommodate 12 guests. The positioning on the site depends on the topography, and elements such as orientation, views, contours and vegetation need to be taken into consideration. Ideally, the main entrance should be on the eastern side so that the lounge, deck, lapa and pool deck are north facing. The low pitch of the roof allows the structures to be unobtrusive in a natural landscape.
The wooden-planking gables combine well with a combination of packed-stone walls, glass, and plastered and painted walls.
A double, covered parking area is situated in the driveway adjacent to a stone wall that screens off the vehicles.

A wooden-deck walkway, alongside the stone wall, leads to the entrance via a glass sliding door. The main lodge is entered at the lounge, which has a fireplace and stack-away doors on the northern side that lead onto the deck along the northern facade of the building.
A guest toilet with a basin in a vanity top is situated next to the lounge.
The open-plan kitchen has a fridge, stove, prep bowl and separate scullery. There is a built-in bar counter next to the kitchen with a stack-away window that opens onto the deck. The bar counter is centrally located and links all the living areas, inside and out.
A conversation pit with built-in seating for a number of people forms part of the deck on the outside.
