Growing tips: Deciduous and long lasting, it likes full sun or partial shade and good drainage. It’s frost tolerant, but mulch in high frost zones.
Make the most of it: 50-90cm high, grow it in a pot, use it as an edging or plant it in the border.
Propagate: From cuttings or by division of the plant in spring. It can self-seed, so remove flower heads in winter if you don’t want it to spread.
Good companions: Small salvias in shades of blue and white, lavender, westringia and Shasta daisies, gaura and pale-lemon daylilies and osteospermum hybrids.
