Henrietta Howard meets a noted artist in a new guise GLYNN BOYD harte claims that the inspiration for his first collection of fabrics and wallpapers for Dolphin Studio derived from the handsome eighteenth-century house in the heart of London’s West End, which he rescued from decades of decomposition six years ago. He and his wife, Carrie, also an artist, bought the house, despite the neglect which had left the property in a state of daunting decay. They were undaunted, however, by the lengthy prospect of refurbishment. Both agreed that any shortfall in creature comforts would be amply offset by the splendid proportions of the rooms and that rarest of elements in central London – ample, unobstructed light.
