Recipe for Dinner

Sweet lemon Sauce

Prepare as for Quick Custard but use the grated rind and juice of 1 large lemon, made up to 300 ml/1/2 pt/1M cups with water instead of milk. Sweeten to taste with extra caster (superfine) sugar if necessary. Omit the vanilla flavouring.

Sweet Orange Sauce

Prepare as for Quick Custard but use the grated rind and juice of an orange, made up to 300 ml/1/2 pt/114 cups with pure orange juice instead of milk. Omit the vanilla -flavouring.

Sweet lime Sauce

Prepare as for Quick Custard but use the grated rind and juice of 2 limes, made up to 300 ml/A pt/1 1/2 cups with water instead of milk. Sweeten with extra caster (superfine) sugar, if necessary, and add a few drops of green food colouring, if liked. Omit the vanilla flavouring.
