I had one piece of wallpaper and The Postal Annex store let me make colour copies of it so I could wallpaper tlie whole house.
I was ecstatic! I had a purpose!
I went to work and built tlie doll’s house in one day; I made tlie walls, wallpapered, painted, put in tlie wiring for tlie lights, and carpeted tlie second day; and tlie third day I placed all of my miniatures in tlie house.
I decided I wanted to make my own tree using real fern. I used a wire tree with straight branches as the core and used a glue gun to glue on the fern and make it much more beautiful. At Christmastime, a pretty tree is very important!
I had to use newspaper to cut the patterns for inner walls to make it threedimensional and to cut out the shingles. They took a lot of time because I drew a pattern based on what I thought they should look like and then had to use a straight edge to cut them. A litde tedious and not as much fun as placing all die miniatures in it, but I really wanted die outside of die house to be as presentable as die inside. I dien added a layer of âœsnowâ diat I cut out of a furry white fabric.
I had to decide how I would hide die wiring for die lights on die side walls. I decided to make an inner wall diat I wall papered in order to completely hide die wiring by.
