I remember myself yeah and we’re the scigirls and happy new year happy new year macho from said this yet already.

But, if not welcome to the new year with lots of fun posts coming your way a lot of people in the new year like to get organized. So we’re here with some organizational hacks and things that don’t cost a lot of money to help get you organized yeah really simple ideas and guys this post is actually collab with Jenny mustard she’s a minimalist Scandinavian born r slash blogger everything she does looks beautiful and is so simple and amazing. So we’re doing a post today with her so on Jenny’s blog she’ll be giving you a bunch of unique tips on how to organize your 20:18 and make sure you guys head on over to that post afterwards and comment and comment, if your coming over for dinner yeah say hi to go check out our blog alright that first looks go through some organization hacks and DIY. So we’re gonna start with your very own upcycle the paper organizers so, if you have a box of cereal or a really large box don’t recycle it let’s keep it for a DIY we’re gonna start with drawing a diagonal line from the top corner to about five inches up from the bottom of the box and then repeat that on the other side and then use an exacto knife or scissors actually work better for us to cut along that line once that’s cut you can use some white contact paper or any pattern you’d like to cover your box trim off any excess and you could be done here.

But we decide to add a simple design with a black sharpie we drew a few lines in different sizes going all different directions this is a super affordable and easy way to make your messy papers look so do you have a kitchen to our that looks like this I bet you do it’s full of rice and spices and begs who knows what all shoved into that drawer and it’s impossible to find anything, when you need it we have a really simple DIY that you can do here that will make it look like you have a $100 or more custom cover it’s set up in your kitchen. But the lasts from the dollar store so what you want to do is head to the dollar store and grab some clear plastic food containers that will fit in your drawers fill those up with your desired spices Rice’s see it’s nuts etc you can even use an embossing label maker to make some labels for these these look much more uniform than handwriting on the container and the label maker is really affordable to buy we will link one below add those containers back into your drawer and you have visible organized storage this makes looking for food and spices so much easier and it just looks beautiful you’re cooking / baking game is going to be so strong 20:18 look out so this is a genius hop, if you need some more hanger space in your closet you can pick up these brackets at IKEA or a local hardware store and instead of using a shelf brackets we’re actually gonna use them as like a hanger support instead of using them to support a shelf we’re actually going to put them upside down and then use some single hanger clips we got off of Amazon which we will link below or you can even use regular hangers to hang pants or other accessories on most closets have the upper rack, when you have like lots of storage there. But then the bottom of your closet is kind of like an empty space. So you can use this to fill the void add some more storage and it’s a lot easier than adding another cumbersome like big rail.

So I feel like something that most of the population has in common is a need for good shoe storage can I get an amen in the comment alone so while this DIY is a dollar store friendly it’s so cute and kind of affordable that we had to share it with you anyways you will need a bunch of one-inch wooden dowels cut into six 16 inch pieces and seven 20 inch pieces and two four foot long two-by-four pieces of wood using some wood glue and clamps we attach the 4-foot pieces together for a deeper sturdier base once the glue has cured we’re going to measure where we want the dowels to sit staggering the back and front row with six short dowels in the front and the seven taller dowels in the back. So I know that you need two dowels to make a set of shoes unless you’re magical and have three feet. But we just did seven on the back anyways. Because it looks more aesthetically pleasing you can space out your shoes however you want that’s just what we chose to do or is facing the not evenly here.

But for more details on how we did this check out our blog linked below once all your dowel holes are marked take a one inch drill bit and mark with tape approximately two and a half inches on your drill bit. So you know how far you’re drilling. Because of the point on the drill your dowel will actually really only sit about two inches down draw two and a half inch deep holes where you measured and marked where the dowels will go once that’s done and all the sawdust is gone line the hole with some wood glue and place in your dowels pay close attention to which size goes on which bro after the wood has completely dried your shoe Rock is complete now of course you could paint it or stain it, if you don’t like the raw wood look so back in the kitchen we’re having dollar store or office supply store wall document holder into the best kitchen storage and, if you happen to be reading this around back-to-school time I feel like the locker organizers those could definitely work for this as well so food storage lids are kind of the worst thing to organize in a drawer they kind of like hide all of your other utensils underneath them and then, if you’re in it cupboard then they just get like push to the back and lock and, if you actually put them on the Tupperware or your food storage you just can’t stack them so all the same taking up way too much space anyways the word this is a way better solution using this clear wall document holder and some removable sticky hooks this becomes a renter friendly lid or really anything organizer just make sure that you’re able to shut the door once you’ve installed it they’re not like installing it where the cupboard – and it’s thank you and like super easy to use and look so organized so legit okay. So we have a love-hate relationship with corkboards they’re amazing for getting messes off tables.

But sometimes they’re just moving that mess to a wall for like everyone else to see again it doesn’t really help clean anything our solution place them on the inside of a door and out of sight. So we first tried this out with sticky squares. But turns out that doesn’t work very well. Because cork is textured and doesn’t stick so instead we picked up some larger removable sticky hooks and stuck those to the door and then popped the cork in place by the way these cork board squares are from a dollar store and super affordable so trying out this DIY will help keep the mess out of the eyes of everyone else in an it concealed spot and also, if you have any like important documents you don’t want to go and looking at it’s good to get that out of the way too hope you guys like those tip hacks DIYs make sure you go check out Jenny’s post with tons of tips on how to organize her 2018 with budget and productivity and even cleaning tips comment to hair while you’re over there and comment to us while you’re here, if your friends okay guys and here it’s like this to do make sure you give it a like and, if you love us and to discover and we’ll.
