This white aluminum and glass building earned a special award from the American Institute of Architects for its Classical purity. It isn’t actually on Wall Street, but it does have one of the best plazas in the Wall Street neighborhood, containing a two-part stainless steel sculpture by Yu Yu Yang consisting of a L-shaped vertical slab with a circular opening facing a twelve-foot polished disk. It is a memorial to the Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth I, which burned in Hong Kong harbor as this building was being built.
